Autumn Oak Leaf
As part of Cracking Ceramics exploration, the museum is embarking on an ambitious mass
art project this autumn to celebrate the beauty of the park. Autumn Oak Leaf invites as many
people as possible to contribute by making at least one air dry clay oak leaf. Taking one of Cannon Hall Park’s stunning English Oaks as the inspiration, the handmade oak leaves will form a new temporary art installation at Cannon Hall Museum throughout November.
To make this work the museum needs your help. Call into either Experience Barnsley or Cannon Hall Museum and get involved by making a leaf (or many leaves) for the project.
An installation of work created will open Saturday 27 October.
Free drop-in activity on Saturdays 22 and 29 September at the Learning Lab, Experience Barnsley or on Saturdays 6, 13 and 20 October in the temporary exhibition space at Cannon Hall from 11am - 3pm.
