Park and gardens FAQ’s

  • BBQ’s are not permitted in the park.
  • Feeding of geese and other birds is not permitted.
  • Toilets can be found in the main car park and at the Hall. Accessible toilets are available at both locations.
  • Baby changing facilities can be found inside the Hall and in the park. 
  • The Pavilion Café is adjacent to the main car park
  • Visitors are permitted to fish in the lakes after purchasing a fishing ticket from the parking machine located in the car park.
  • Most of the park is on an even level therefore accessible to wheelchair users
  • Dogs are allowed in the gardens and at the lakeside as long as they are on leads. Please ensure you clean up after your pet, dog bins are sited throughout the park. 
  • Bicycles are not allowed in the park. 
  • Rhododendrons are usually at their best in May and early June. 
  • The park is available to hire for events, please call 01226 790270 to discuss your requirements.
  • We allow wedding photography to be taken in the gardens for a small fee, please call 01226 790270 for information.

Cannon Hall Museum FAQ’s

  • Guidebooks are available from the museum reception.
  • Photography with a flash is not permitted in the museum for conservation reasons. Video cameras are prohibited. 
  • The ground floor of the museum is accessible to wheelchairs, with a lift to the first floor where the galleries are located.
  • Toilets can be found in the main car park and at the Hall. Accessible toilets are available at both locations.
  • Baby changing facilities can be found inside the Hall and in the park. 
  • Rooms within Cannon Hall are available for hire for private functions including weddings, conferences and corporate entertainment.
