The museum has an exceptionally active friends group that meets for talks, events and is a valuable and much appreciated source of support, particulary for much needed fund raising.
The friends, along with visitors to Cannon Hall, have helped raise the £16,000 match funding needed for the redevelopment of parts of the site.
The project will restore the Grade 2 listed landscape, by renovating the lakes, cascades, walled gardens, paths, ice house, deer shed and garden cottages and also maintain the original 1760's landscape for future generations.
Further fundraising is required to help secure the required match funding of £400,000 for the next stage of the project.
With thousands of visitors each year, a donation of £1 from each person would more than cover the match funding target.
If you would like to hep then any donation would be gratefully recieved.
Friends membership starts at just £10 per year. You can get directly involved by volunteering to help or you can simply recieve information about how the project is developing along with details of the many events that take place.
