Cannon Hall Museum reveals new entrance

The transformation of Cannon Hall Museum, Park and Gardens continues with the arrival of its new glass entrance. The old porch was removed and has been replaced with a stunning glass extension to the front of the building, making it more accessible to the thousands of people who visit each year.

Cannon Hall closed throughout September for improvements

From Monday, 4 September Cannon Hall will be temporarily closed to the public in order to make improvements to the entrance and reception area. Work will take place throughout September and will see the building’s front porch removed and replaced with a new glazed entrance.

New parking charges for Cannon Hall Museum and Cannon Hall Farm

Parking charges are set to change at both Cannon Hall Museum and Cannon Hall Farm from Monday 24 July. Parking charges for the award winning attractions will be set at £1 for two hours and £3 all day. Customers using either car park will be able to redeem £1 on their two-hour ticket, with a minimum £5 spend, by displaying their ticket, from the White Bull Bistro at Cannon Hall Farm.

Prepare the cavalry ‘Cannon’ at Cannon makes its return

This weekend sees the return of Cannon Hall’s spectacular re-enactment event, “Cannon! at Cannon”. The free event taking place on Saturday, 5 and Sunday, 6 August will feature Wellington’s determined redcoats, bravely defending the historic Georgian country house from Napoleons invading army.

Cannon Hall Museum celebrates 60th birthday in style

Cannon Hall Museum is celebrating its 60th birthday in style by bringing some of Hollywood’s finest wedding dresses to Yorkshire. The ‘Tales of the Wedding Dress - from Homemade to World Stage’ exhibition features costume gowns worn by stars including Gwyneth Paltrow and Kiera Knightley, and coincides with the 60th anniversary of the museum - which opened at the hall on 1 June 1957.
