Special event with artist and author James Brunt hosted at Cannon Hall Museum, Park and Gardens

Cannon Hall Museum, Park, and Gardens are hosting a special event with artist and author James Brunt on Saturday, 26 August.

James will be at the well-loved visitor attraction to create some nature-inspired artwork in the parklands between 10am and 1pm.

Later in the afternoon, there will be a talk and Q&A session with James in the ballroom where he will chat about his new book 'Land Art: Creating Artworks in and with the Landscape' where the book will be available to buy.

It looks set to be a busy weekend both inside and outside the Museum as visitors can also see the latest blockbuster exhibition, Catwalking: Life through the Lens of Chris Moore.

Cllr Robert Frost, Cabinet Spokesperson for Regeneration and Culture, said: “What better place for James to practice his art and discuss his book than in the stunning setting of the Museum and parklands. Surrounded by acres of natural beauty it is a place to be inspired by, and fits in perfectly with James’ style of work. It’s a great way to spend the bank holiday weekend which will be action-packed with events and activities – all completely free!”
