An adventurous tale from Speedwell Dance of seasons gone awry, an ancient and powerful witch and the determination of children to put things right. The Mountain Witch invites children into a vibrant, immersive experience where they can awaken scampering creatures, tiptoe past the Mountain Witch’s cave, and ultimately convince her to let the sun return.

Join musicians and dancers in this playful and inclusive experience for children aged 3-8 years and their grown-ups. With inspiring dance, songs and original music played live on clarinet, flute and cello, this performance promises to transform each performance space into a magical realm.

“Speedwell Dance’s amazing performers wove spells as powerfully as the Mountain Witch did. No child could resist being drawn into their playful, interactive & joyous world.”

“My face ached from smiling so much.”

“The way the performers wove the kids ideas about Spring into the piece was incredible.“

“The look on my daughter’s face when the witch got her to stand up and hold the snow fabric, I’ve never seen it before, it was just pure joy.”
